Product Description
1. Product principle:
When the laser sensor is working, the laser emitting diode is first aimed at the target to emit laser pulses. The laser light is scattered in all directions after being reflected by the target. Part of the scattered light returns to the sensor receiver and is imaged on the avalanche photodiode after being received by the optical system. The avalanche photodiode is an optical sensor with an internal amplification function, so it can detect extremely weak light signals and convert them into corresponding electrical signals. The most common is the laser ranging sensor, which can determine the target distance by recording and processing the elapsed time from when a light pulse is sent to when it is received. The laser sensor must measure the transit time extremely accurately because the speed of light is too fast. For example, the speed of light is about 310^8m/s. To achieve a resolution of 1mm, the electronic circuit of the transmission time ranging sensor must be able to distinguish the following extremely short time: 0.001m/(310^8m/s)=3ps
To distinguish the time of 3ps, this is an excessive requirement for electronic technology, and it is too expensive to realize. But today’s laser ranging sensors cleverly avoid this obstacle, using a simple statistical principle, that is, the averaging law to achieve a resolution of 1mm, and can ensure the response speed.

3. Application characteristics

4.Application cases:
1. Uncoiling process of metallurgical steel plate and coil
In order to ensure a constant feeding of the material, the uncoiling speed of the sheet metal coil must be adjusted. For this reason, the distance sensor DT50 continuously measures the radius of the sheet metal coil during the entire uncoiling process. Cooperate with incremental encoder to measure the pulling speed of the metal plate with the help of friction roller. The measured values of the two sensors are used to control the pulling speed and trigger the automatic coil change.

2. Position detection of robot tool end
Detect the accuracy of the chuck of the robot arm through the 3-axis of XYZ. Long-distance detection can also be performed using long sensor probes.

3. Position detection of rolling chuck
Detect the position of the rolling chuck for film winding. Even if the mechanical materials are changed, the working time can be greatly shortened.

4. Positioning of the cutting machine workpiece
When cutting the steel plate, the height position of the welding gun is detected. Even if the material of the workpiece changes, stable detection can still be achieved.

5. Judgment of the thickness of the pressing process
In the pressing process, the different types of steel plates are judged by the thickness, and the supply of 2 sheets is detected. In a large press, it can also be judged from a long distance with a long sensor probe.

6. Measure the thickness/width of the building material board
The thickness and width can be measured simultaneously immediately after the extrusion process. Moreover, the thickness correction function can shorten the man-hours required for installation and product replacement.
